Here's an apparently foolish view of a large 'gator. Alligators generally charge forward when they've lost their nerve or when they want to threaten, and I always leave them plenty of room to make a dash. This photo was taken with a telephoto lens, and I wasn't as close as it looks. This 'gator has a deformed tooth protruding uncharacteristically from its lower jaw.
