Eye-to-eye with a large sand tiger shark on the shipwreck, Papoose, off the North Carolina coast. This brute was one of, perhaps, a dozen large sharks lined up ("stacked and racked") above the wreck, all facing the same direction to stem a slight current. It was a wall of sharks the likes of which I'd never seen before.
