The Louisiana oil rigs are home to several types of blennies. The tessellated blenny is the toughest to photograph because they inhabit barnacle shells near the surface. There is almost always a halocline at the rigs, and the fresher surface water is always very murky. Plus, surface surge makes it hard to stay still enough for this kind of work.
