It's hard to say what kind of frog this is. It's about the size of a fingernail, so I think it's too small to be a newly-tailess bullfrog. Alligator Bayou is full of them in early August, which is about the time that the baby alligators begin to forage. Amphibians are considered to be a health indicator for wetland environments, and the number of tiny frogs in late summer is a promising sign.
