Alligator Bayou is a bayou and swamp near my home in Baton Rouge. Sharon and I recently purchased a small boat, reasonably called The POS, and we have been making regular outings to the area. The habitat is rich with wildlife. Egrets, herons, ibis, several varieties of raptors, and nutria are commonly seen. And, of course, there are alligators.
