This is the largest common snapper I've ever seen (distinguishable from the alligator snapper by its relatively smooth carapace, smaller "beak", and eyes closer to the front of its head), and it's the largest turtle I've ever seen sunning itself on a log. Sharon spotted it in Bayou Braud near Spanish Lake.
